Formula 1 2010

The new season is about to start and we can expect lots of fun.

Michael Schumacher will be back in the F1 driving seat to try and add more titles and records to an already incredible career. It will take some time to disassociate him with the Ferrari team, but we all know he is still a great Ferrari fan especially if we look at the colours of his new crash helmet!
With the addition of the “brand new” F1 teams of Mercedes Benz GP, Lotus Cosworth, HRT Cosworth and Virgin Cosworth the number of cars has increased to 24 and we might be able to see the rising of new F1 stars considering the number of new drivers who have entered proceedings.

Together with new teams and drivers there are other changes coming with the new season.

The scoring system has changed completely. Points will be scored for the first 10 drivers, assigning 25 points to the race winner, 18 to the runner up and 15 to the third place.
Those from 4th to 10th will score respectivley 12 10 8 6 4 2 and 1 points.
Another big change is the banning of refuelling, pit stops will still be there as cars are still allowed to change tyres. As a consequence cars will have a bigger tank and a heavier load at the start of the race.

A tyre related change has also been introduced, in fact the front tyres are going to be narrower to ensure cars balance the grip between front and back tyres.

Talking of changes, our own competition has had some too, and this season based on user feedback we have simplified things immensely. With the new rules you will only have to select 3 drivers and they will score you points if any of them qualifies on pole position, achieves the fastest lap or celebrates the end of the race from the podium

The game promises lots of fun and we hope to see some new faces on our Guru stand, considering Odhran dominated most of last season.

So don't miss your chance and get your league of experts going before the first race this weekend

Have fun!
