English Premier League Gameweek 13 Preview

While it's been easy to get carried away with the exceptional entertainment on offer in the top flight this season, there are also numerous outstanding team and personal performances taking place in the lower divisions at the moment, notably at the Galpharm, where Huddersfield's win over Notts.County last weekend secured them the Football league record of 43 matches without defeat. One of the primary reasons for their recent good form has been the sensational goalscoring record of Jordan Rhodes, whose brace on Saturday took his current tally to eleven goals in his last seven starts. While compiling that impressive total, Rhodes has also notched six goals in his last three appearances for Scotland's under-21s in qualifying matches, so if you're looking for the next big transfer to come out of the lower Leagues, it may be worth keeping an eye on Huddersfield.

English Premier League Gameweek 12 Preview

Great stuff. Last weekend, Costa Rica were defeated by a plucky, improving Panama side, and Lebanon upset their hosts 1-0 in Kuwait. I'm so glad that FIFA saw fit for us to miss another week of club football for that, and I will be campaigning for another break in February when a round of tedious international friendlies are due to take place just as the League season is building to a climax. Rant over. Here's the next set of Premier League fixtures, with two or three notable battles at the bottom scheduled for Saturday afternoon:

Another week, and another 39 goals added to the impressive Premier League total so far, and this really is turning into a thoroughly entertaining season for everybody except fans of Wigan. This coming weekend, the top seven all face sides who will do well to finish in mid-table in May, so there is every prospect of another bumper crop from the following set of matches:
